Digital society and web 2.0

Tim O'Reilly put it straight in Web2.0ExpoSF09: Web 2.0 is no updated version of the world wide web but a phenomenom that raised after dotcom business had tried to penetrate the consumer markets, sometimes successfully, mostly not. So, when talking about for example web3.0 it's good to make this distinction.

Especially I got interested about the way O'Reilly analyzed the idea of digital society. That reminds me the discussions about information society.

O'Reilly has a broad wiew and long history of making www the kind of communications power it is now. Thanks for Andrea Vascellari for the blog which helped me to find this video.
